Pura Vida House
Just returned from a fantastic stay at Pura Vida House. The hosts, Mani, Sindy, and Ileana were fantastic, answering to our every need or want. They planned an itinerary that suited our entire group, recommending only the BEST excursions, restaurants, and beaches in the area. We had amazing pickleball each day on the nearby well maintained courts, even had the chance to play and meet a nice group of local players. As a bonus, the courts were surrounded by lush fruit trees full of curious monkeys that watched us play. I will definitely return the Pura Vida House for another pickleball getaway with a BIG side dish of “Pura Vida”! Thanks to all involved that made this an unforgettable week!
The Pura Vida House is the place to stay if you're visiting Costa Rica!
Earlier this month, we took a team trip to Costa Rica and stayed at the Pura Vida House in Hacienda Pinilla (compliments of the boss). There was 8 of us in total, and the house had plenty or room to spare.
Each day we woke to breakfast outside by the pool, and enjoyed an amazing home-cooked meal right after sunset. Not only did they hook us up with a private chef for the entire week, we also had a personal concierge, which was an awesome addition and a great help in guiding us to the best local activities.
We took a sunset sail (definitely the highlight) a few days into the trip, had a full-fledged adventure day, and rode some UTVs. The activities were super fun, but for me, Hacienda Pinilla took the cake. The beaches were amazing and not crowded at all, and we also had access to a super cool breach club where you can watch surfers tear it up.
We were also only 20 min to Tamarindo. Fortunately, we had a rental car, so we were able to pop over to the town whenever we wanted to. Anyway, do yourself a favor and check out Pura Vida House if you're planning a trip to Costa Rica
What an amazing trip! Both the Pura Vida House, Casa Rebeca, and the entire Top Notch Experience was just that! Top Notch! I went down for a girl's pickleball trip and went in having no earthly idea what to expect, I hadn't been back to Costa Rica in over 20 years, but remembered how much I had loved it. Well whatever expectations I had were blown away. The houses were beautiful as was the neighborhood and all of the amenities like the tennis & pickleball courts, the Beach Club, the bike & golf shops.
But what really made the trip was the personal touch and efforts of Mani to elevate our experience to a 10+. He made great recommendations for extracurricular activities (and we're a PICKY bunch!), all of which were amazing. He was always engaging with us and checking in, his staff was immensely friendly, and we had some incredible pickleball instruction. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a girls/guys trip, family vacation, family reunion, corporate retreat, you won't be disappointed!
Pura Vida House
The week of pickleball play in Costa Rica organized by Randall Wood couldn't be better. Guests were given lots of flexibility in their schedule. Great pickleball play and substantial instruction were part of each day's itinerary, along with many Costa Rican excursions. Guests decide how busy or relaxed each day could be. The accommodations were ideal for a group, with pool and large outdoor space to gather and unwind. All aspects of trip from transportation, accommodations, meals, laundry service, excursions, beach club access and of course, pickleball, were top notch and timely. Working with Mani to bring 16 women to play pickleball in Costa Rica was seamless. We stayed at two houses in Hacienda Pinilla Beach Resort, just outside of Tamarindo. Mani put together an unforgettable pb excursion with included golf carts & bicycles to access the Beach Club & courts each morning.
We also enjoyed day trips to Tamarindo for an evening catamaran sail, pb play with a local group, surf lessons & dining. Loved Panga & Agua Salada!
The homes were each unique & well appointed with very comfortable beds, white linens & crisp duvets/comforters, blenders, outside grills & more. So looking forward to heading back!
An absolute first class experience from start to finish at the Pura Vida house with Mani and Sindy. The villa is amazing but the whole experience surrounding the villa is what takes this from amazing to extraordinary! The hosts are incredibly friendly, attentive, welcoming, and are always thinking above and beyond regarding how they can make your experience even better.
The villa is extremely clean, well maintained, and perfectly located. The amenities and experience that come with staying there are extremely hard to replicate and find anywhere else. Getting private access to the Beach Club and the surrounding community makes the experience that much better.
You will be immersed in a super friendly community and are just the perfect distance to get to downtown Tamarindo for some of the action.
If you are looking for a much needed getaway to a paradise location and to be taken care of like you are staying at a 5-star hotel, then the Pura Vida house is your spot!
